3 themes of GCC in river basins

It may be helpful to consider organizing thought around 3 major themes:
  • Changing climate, and impact on water balance
  • Impacts of climate change on agricultural systems
  • The dynamic response of systems to these changes
Any suggestions of additional themes or reorganization welcome

    The last theme is quite big. The most diverse responses will come from social and economic systems. It will be interesting to anticipate which changes institutions working in water and agriculture are developing and adapting. Do we have an idea of the best strategies? Adaptation is a process in which some survive and some dye. Who will be crying for?

    Jorge, thank you for the comment. Would you care to suggest some subdivisions for the topic?

    What do you suggest as key institutional changes that will be required to cope with CC in basins, especially in trans-boundary basins? Can basins that are in just one country (Karkheh, Sao Francisco) give any insight into what will be needed to make institutions in transboundary basins relevant to the needs of the poor as they face CC?
